Due to the corona pandemic, the Potsdam Oratorio Choir had to cancel its concert "75 Jahre Kriegsende und Befreiung" (75 Years End of War and Liberation) planned for May 9, 2020 with the program 'Nystedt: Immortal Bach - Martin: In Terra Pax - Bach: Ratswahlkantate BWV 29'.
As a small replacement, they recorded the council election cantata on May 9, 2020 at the Friedenskirche, Potsdam, Sanssouci, Brandenburg , Germany under the currently possible conditions and taking into account strict distance and hygiene rules.
Unfortunately, due to the currently applicable travel and contact restrictions, the tenor soloist could not travel from France, the orchestra had to be replaced by the organ and the choir could not be recorded on site.
Production: Audio Produktion Dietrich Körner & Gutfilm Medienproduktion; Camera, Sound & Editing: Dietrich Körner and Elias Wetzel.
