Emmy Lisken (Contralto) |

The German contralto, Emmy Lisken, studied singing at the Konservatorium Düsseldorf with Professor Franziska Martienßen-Lohmann (1887-1971).
From 1955 to 1958, Emmy Lisken worked as first dramatic alto at the Stasttheaster Basel and at the Städitschen Bühnen Köln, and since 1958 she appeard mainly as a concert singer. She performerd in oratorio concerts in Germany, France, the Netherlands, England, Switzerland, Belgium and at the Festival du Marais in Paris. She sang constantly as a guest on German broadcasts and was highly esteemed and pouplar.
From 1976 to 1998, Emmy Liskem taught singing at the Leopold-Mozart Konservatorium in Augsburg. Among her pupils and/or singers who have attended her master-classes: Renate Kaschmieder (Mezzo-soprano). Emmy Lisken-Steingen lives in Ingolstadt. |
