The American choral conductor, Connor Walter Doran, obtained his Bachelor of Science degre in Music Teacher Education from Duquesne University (2013-2017); and his Masters of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (2017-December 2019). At Eastman he conducted the Eastman Repertory Singers and Eastman School of Music: Bach Cantata Series.
Connor Doran worked at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: as Organist (April-September 2014) and Interim Director of Music Ministries (September 2014-January 2015). He maintained the Cantor Program and the Choir Program in the absence of a Director of Music. Prepared all Organ and Cantor books respectively. Communicated with and rehearsed the 20 person Choir, as well as coordinated and scheduled Cantors for each of the 6 weekend masses monthly. Then he worked at Baldwin-Whitehall School District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: as Assistant Music Director (November 2013-May 2015) and Front Ensemble Director / Percussion Instructor (August 2013-June 2017); and as Associate Organist & Conductor at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania (January 2015-June 2017).
Since moving to Rochester, New York, Connor Doran has been Choir Director and Organist at Saint Thomas More Church Rochester (since September 2017); 6-8 Choir/General Music Teacher at Siena Catholic Academy in Rochester (August 2019-March 2020); Vocal/General Music Teacher at Charles D'Amico High School in Albion, New York (since September 2020). |
