The German baritone, Michael Nonhoff, received his first singing lessons with Professor Helmut Bökemeyer. Since 1992 studied with Ulrike Meyer-Krahmer. In 1995 he won 1st place at Jugend Musiziert in regional and country level and 2nd place at the federal level. In 1999 he won 3rd place at the Euregio Vocal Competition in Terborg-Wisch, Netherlands. He received Music Education Degree in Münster with Singing as main subject (with Annette Kleine) and Studio Engineering as secondary subject. In 2003 he was a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes Münster.
Michael Nonhoff has versatile secular repertoire, including opera and Lieder recitals, and wide sacred repertoire with the various masses and oratorios by Mozart, Haydn, George Frideric Handel, Schubert, Rossini and many cantatas and Passions by J.S. Bach.
Currently Michael Nonhoff is working half time as a secretary for culture and public relations in the KSHG (the der Kath. Studierenden- und Hochschulgemeinde der Uni und FH Münster). The rest of his time is dedicated to his family and his work as a freelance singer, here and there even more frequently, even the electronic music (live electronics / sound installations). |
