The Chilean tenor and choral conductor, Martín Aurra Bastías, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree, with mention in Musical Performance in Singing and a specialization in Choral Direction from the Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile (2011-2018). He has participated in master-classes with the teachers Ethan Sperry (2018), Magen Solomon (2019) and Virginia Bono (2020), and with the Dutch chamber choral group Nederlands Kamerkoor (2017).
Martín Aurra Bastías e currently directs Ignis Camerata Vocal (since 2017), an independent professional choral group; He works as deputy director of the Coro de Cámara UC, a vocal group of which he was head of the tenor section since 2016, and is sporadically invited as assistant conductor and singer in the Coro de Cámara del Teatro del Lago (since 2018) and as director in the Coro de Estudiantes de Canto de la Universidad de Chile (since 2018). Finally, he actively collaborates in the main choral seasons as a director, performer and composer of traditional and contemporary vocal music. |
