The German soprano, Lore Paul, began her career in 1947 at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe; then moved to the Stadttheater Saarbrücken in 1950; was engaged at the Nationaltheater Mannheim in the 1953-1954 season; and worked at the Stadttheater Bremen from 1954 until her stage farewell in 1971. After that she worked as a prompter at this opera house for a few years.
Lore Paul's repertoire focused on roles such as the Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Rosina in Barbier von Sevilla, Gilda in Rigoletto, Norina in Don Pasquale and Musetta in La Bohème; later she also sang roles like Donna Elvira in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss and the daughter in Cardillac by Paul Hindemith, as well as some operetta roles. She has also performed abroad, including in 1956 at the Teatro Comunale Florence as Queen of the Night.
Lore Paul was married to the tenor Paul Kachelrieß, who had worked as a chorister on several stages in Central Germany since 1936, then made his debut as a soloist at the Stadttheater Remscheid in 1941 and was engaged with his wife in Karlsruhe and Saarbrücken.
