Hiroto Ishikawa (Tenor)

Born: Japan

The Japanese tenor, Hiroto Ishikawa, joined the Shizuoka Children's choir at the age of 7 . He participated 3 times in European concert tour as a soloist. He graduated in singing from Kunitachi College of Music, and continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland, obtaining there his Master of Music degree. He studied with Yuko Tozaki , Masato Makino , K. Vu~itoma , Evelyn Tubb and Gerd Türk, among others.

Hiroto Ishikawa began appeareing in concerts while still a student, includin at Porrentruy Bach Academy in Switzerland, Bach Weeks in Vienna and Salzburg, International Music Festival in Germany. He was also invited to music festivals such as Nurburgring Nberuku Church Music Week. He has co-operated with such prominent musicians as M. Corvo , Michael Radulescu, A. Lurie and. Joshua Rifkin and enjoyed a good reputation. After returning to Japan in November 2006, he participated in the Bach Collegium Japan (Director: Masaaki Suzuki), and has been active at home and abroad as a soloist and ensemble singer.
