The American soprano and actor, Emily Hagens, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Arts Administration from Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University (2009-2013); and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance Cum Laude from University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2013-2015). She was Semifinalist at Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition; and Finalist at National Opera Association Vocal Competition.
Emily Hagens is a luminous and charismatic singer-actress, with repertoire spanning opera, operetta, and musical theatre. Stage highlights include Lady Kay in Oh Kay!, Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Jean in Brigadoon, Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Zerlina in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Adele in Die Fledermaus. She can be seen grinning ear to ear in numerous commercials on TV and social media. A self-proclaimed Europhile, she spent three years working with German company AIDA Entertainment, intermittently living in Hamburg (February 2017-March 2020). She enjoys ballet, yoga, cycling, and piano in her spare time. A lifelong whisperer of cats, she volunteers regularly with Animal Care Centers of NYC. |
