The Dutch tenor, Peter T.H. Vos, studied at Albert Schweitzer Scholengemeenschap (1983-1989). He was taught classical singing by Christa Wolfs-Van den Bosch and Jos van Eyck. At the same time he completed his University-study for Medicine at University Maastricht (1989-1996). To enhance his singing abilities he attended master-classes with the baritone John Bröcheler, the bass Kurt Moll and Wagner tenor Manfred Jung. From that time on he has been privately coached and tutored by Manfred Jung until 2008. He is currently coached by tenor Hein Meens in Amsterdam. In Dutch television he was finalist in the singing contest: Una Voce Particolare in January 2005. He participated at the 1st Cantilena Gesangswettbewerb, Oper/Operette und Konzert in Bayreuth in 2007 and at the Robert Stolz Gesangswettbewerb, Wiener Operette in Hamburg in 2003.
With his brilliant, almost transparent tenor-voice PeterVos has sung a variety of parts, of which the part of Marquis in the Dutch premiere of The Player by Sergey Prokofiev in a production of Opera Zuid, Faust in the opera by Charles Gounod, Tassilo in Gräfin Mariza by Emmerich Kalmán, Danilo in Lustige Witwe by Franz Léhar, Siedler in Im weissen Rössl by Ralph Benatzky, Adam in Der Vogelhändler by Carl Zeller, Grenicheux in de Klokken van (les cloches de) Corneville (NL) by Robert Planquette, Remendado in Carmen by Georges Bizet, Falsacappa in les Brigands, Bobinet in La vie Parisienne and Ké-Ki-Ka-Ko in Ba-ta-clan by Jacques Offenbach, Aeneas and 1st Sailor in Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. Furthermore he has collaborated as a soloist in musical performances in the Netherlands and abroad, did he sing for German radio.
PeterVos has worked together with conductors like Jean-Yves Ossonce, Marco Zambelli, Laurent Wagner, Ivan Anguélov, Jan Stulen and Manfred Jung and directors like Dalia Ibelhauptaite, Gudrun Hartmann, Giles Havergal, Leo Decker and Aidan Lang.
PeterVos also has an expertise in singing Oratorio and Concerts: b.g. J.S. Bach: Passions and Cantatas; Dvorak: Stabat Mater; César Franck: les sept dernières paroles du Christ en croix; Haydn: Die Schöpfung and Die sieben letsten Worte; George Frideric Handel: Messiah; Maunder: Olivet to Calvary; Felix Mendelssohn: Elias; W.A. Mozart: Requiem, Krönungsmesse, etc; Ramirez: Misa Criolla; Camille Saint-Saëns: Oratoire de Noël. Since 1996, he lives in Boxmeer, the Netherlands. He married Irit Holdrinet on May 20, 1998 and has two daughters.. |
