Bach: BWV 5 Wo soll ich fliehen hin, Diethard Hellmann 1971 [CR-5]

Cantata BWV 5 [20:47]

Diethard Hellmann

Kurrende** und Orchester der Christuskirche Mainz

Soprano: Hedy Graf; Alto: Marie-Luise Gilles; Tenor: Kurt Equiluz; Bass: Wolfgang Anheisser

YouTube

1971

Audio / TT:

Recorded at Christuskirche, Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Tape recording from the radio.
**Kurrende: originally a name for a choir made up of needy students, later for a church boys' choir
Interesting comparison, by Rainer Harald:
*In BWV 5 under Rudolf Pohl, sings this aria no.3 as well Kurt Equiluz. The tempi are also almost the same, but the solo viola by Heinz-Otto Graf has a totally different sound. Unfortunately I could not determine who is playing in this recording.
