The centenary celebration of the Augsburg Confession, June 26, 1730. Two months later repeated as the Ratswahl cantata. Leipzig, 1730 (Young); 1728 or 1729 (Stokes); According to KB I/32.2 - c. 1742ff. (the previous sources are now outdated) (BWV 120, BWV 120a & BWV 120b were all adapted from a lost Köthen original).
1st performance: 1729 or earlier - Leipzig
2nd performance: August 27, 1742 ? - Leipzig |
