The Chinese-born soprano, Xiaoge Zhang, she began studied piano with Lin Wang at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in China (2008-2017) and received first place in the School Competition. At age 15, she studied voice with Jingzu Bian. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Music Theory from Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) (2022), where she studied with Dean Southern. She currently studies for her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (since August 2022). She received 1st Prize in the Classical Singer International Vocal Competition in Beijing, Outstanding Award in Boston and 1st Prize in NATS Competition in Ohio. She performed the role of Sandman in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel and Gretel and First Spirit in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with CIM Opera Theater (March 2020). |
