Annika Stegger (Soprano)

Born: Münsterland, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The German soprano, Annika Stegger, began her musical training in the Propsteimusik an St. Remigius Borken, where she also received her first singing lessons from Renate Lücke-Hermann. She took piano and organ lessons and completed the C-exam in Catholic Church Music at the Bischöflichen Kirchenmusikschule Münster in 2012. After studying music education the Universität Siegen and Universität Köln, she studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in the class of Professor Brigitte Lindner, which she completed in 2022. Since then she has received important vocal inspiration from the well-known Wagner singer Melanie Diener. She completed master-classes with Dame Emma Kirkby, Klesie Kelly, Jan Philip Schulze and Sigrid T'Hooft. In 2017, she was a scholarship holder of the Schola of the Rundfunkchor Berlin. Since 2020, she has been a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Verband Köln e.V.

Annika Stegger is an internationally sought-after soloist in song and concert. She has performed numerous solo roles at home and abroad with orchestras such as Barockorchester L'arpa festante München, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Barrocade Ensemble Tel Aviv, JSB Ensemble Stuttgart (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), Kölner Akademie (Director: Michael Willens), Jungen Westdeutschen Philharmonie and Neuen Philharmonie Westfalen. She also sang in renowned ensembles such as the ChorWerk Ruhr (Director: Florian Helgath), Rundfunkchor Berlin (Director: Gijs Leenaars), Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius), Voktett Hannover and Deutschen Jugendkammerchor. As a soloist She made guest appearances at well-known festivals such as the Bachakademie Stuttgart, Felicja Blumental International Music Festival in Israel, Rheingau Musik Festival, Magdeburger Telemann-Festtagen and Festiwal Goldbergowski in Gdansk. At these stations she worked together with conductors such as Hans-Christoph Rademann, Sir Simon Rattle, Frieder Bernius, Florian Benfer, Benjamin Goodson and Michael Alexander Willens.

As a Lieder singer, Annika Stegger works closely with the pianist Alexander Breitenbach.
