Nicolas Robertson (Tenor) |

The English tenor, Nicolas [Nicholas] Robertson, studied at Dover College and at St John's College, Cambridge.
Nicolas Robertson was a long-time member of The Tallis Scholars (Director: Peter Phillips), Taverner Consort (Director: Andrew Parrott), The English Concert Choir (Director: Trevor Pinnock), The Sixteen (Director: Harry Christophers), and Monteverdi Choir (Director: John Eliot Gardiner). In 2000 he participated in the latter's Bach Cantata Pilgrimage, during which all J.S. Bach's sacred canatas were performed and recorded live. He appeared at York Early Music Festival and York Festival and Mystery Plays. Currently he works as proof-reader, programme-note writer and assistant to his wife, Lidia Rita Martins Robertson, in workshops in the music/education department at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. He currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal. |
