Gott hat das Evangelium
gegeben, dass wir werden fromm.
Die Welt acht't solchen Schatz nicht hoch;
der mehrer Teil fragt nicht darnach.
Das ist ein Zeichen vor dem jüngsten Tag!

God heeft het evangelie
gegeven opdat wij vroom worden.
De wereld kan zo’n schat niet waarderen;
de meesten vragen er niet naar.
Dat is een teken van de Jongste Dag.
