The French tenor, Guillaume Gutiérrez, studied first violin and them singing at the CNR de Paris. During this time he sang in the Jeune-Choeur-de-Paris directed by Laurence Equilbey. He obtained his DEM (Musical Studies Diploma) in June 2008.
Since then, Guillaume Gutiérrez has worked with Raphaël Pichon, Michel Laplénie, Skip Sempé, Rachid Safir, Sébastien Daucé. On stage he performed Bastien in W.A. Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne at the Abbaye aux Dames à Saintesand at Théâtre Marsoulan in Paris, Kékikako in Bataclan by Offenbach at the Grand Amphithéâtre du lycée Louis le Grand and at Théâtre de Fourqueux, Victor in Le concert à la cour by D.F.E Auber at the Grand Salon de l'Hôtel de ville in Paris under the baton of Xavier Delette, director of the CRR de Paris, Acis in the version by George Frideric Handel at Festival d'opéra de chambre de la ville de Choisy-Le-Roi.
In 2012-2013 season, Guillaume Gutiérrez participated in the tour of Bourgeois gentilhomme by Molière/Lully in the staging of Catherine Hiegel, the title role was played by François Morel, and the musical direction was provided by Benjamin Perrot director of the ensemble La rêveuse. He played the role of the second musician. He has often performed with L'Ensemble Parisien directed by Alexis Roy. He participated with them, among others, in the funeral Mass of Yves-Saint-Laurent and the anniversary Mass of his death and held, at the request of Pierre Bergé, a Lyric Gala Sidaction.
In January 2012, Guillaume Gutiérrez appeared on stage at the Opéra de Bordeaux under the direction of Michel Laplénie in La Barca di Venezia per Padova, madrigal comedy by Adriano Banchieri. Then, as part of La Folle Journée de Nantes, he was the fox in Igor Stravinsky's Renard with the ensemble Le Balcon (reprise in November 2012 at La Fondation Singer/Polignac).
In May 2014, Guillaume Gutiérrez appeared in Niort with the ensemble Le Banquet Céleste directed by Damien Guillon in a programme of sacred music by Byrd and Tallis. In June 2014, he sang Monteverdi with the ensemble La Main Harmonique directed by Frédéric Bétous and accompanied by the ensemble La rêveuse. In September 2014, he sang Platée in the opera by Rameau at Festival de Pontoise with the ensemble Felicitas. In April 2015, with Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), he played one of three dreams in Dardanus by Rameau at the Opéra de Bordeaux and at the Opéra Royal à Versailles. He is a member of Ensemble Perspectives (Director: Geoffroy Heurard), and La Chapelle Harmonique (Director: Valentin Tournet). He currently lives in Paris, France. |
