Andreas Post (Tenor) |
Born: Arnsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany |
The German tenor, Andreas Post, received his first singing training with Alastair Thompson. In 1991 followed studies in the singing class of Professor Ks. Soto Papulkas at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. He studied first school music, changed however then into concert hall singing. He passed the maturity examination in 1997, and also the following concert exam in 1999, with "very-well" and honour. 1996 and 1997 he was scholarship holder of the Schubert-Gesellschaft in Duisburg. In the context of this scholarship he worked with Professor Norman Shetler to questions of the Lieder interpretation. In 1998 he received the 2nd prize of the 11th international Bach-Wettbewerb in Leipzig, as well as a special price of the MDR. In 2000 he received a scholarship of the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes in Köln.
Andreas Post's activity has led him also outside the borders Germany to Italy, France, Belgium and Holland, as well as to Israel and Macedonia. He feels at home not only on the concert platform, but has also participated in many operatic projects, such as Tamino in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, as Alfred in Strauss' Fledermaus, as Mac Heath in Benjamin Britten's beggar opera, or as Belsazar in George Frideric Handel's Belsazar. With many engagements he dedicates himself to the area of Lieder singing. Since 1995 he is to be heard with the pianist and accompanist Tatjana Dravenau in Lieder recitals. With her he has undertaken repeated tours in the area of "light Muse".
The extensive operating field and the broadly varied repertoire of Andreas Post reflect those variety, which is also documented by numerous CD and radio productions. |
