The Italian soprano, Karin Selva, was born into a family of musicians in Bolzano, and music has accompanied her since childhood. She graduated in cello at the conservatory of Bolzano, in opera singing at the conservatory of Genova, in music therapy at the Apim of Genoa and specialized in early childhood music education in Rome and Philadelphia. She has studied Baroque and opera singing with Carmen Vilalta, Helga Müller-Molinari, Barbara Schlick, Marius van Altena, Patrizia Vaccari and Bianca-Maria Casoni.
Karin Selva Performs as soloist and regular member of professional ensembles such as Associazione Continuum of Trento, Coro da Camera Ricercare Ensemble of Mantova, R. Maghini Philharmonic Choir of Turin, Oberwalliser Vokalensemble (CH), Erato Choir of Turin, Choir and Orchestra of the Ghislieri College (since 2006). performing in the most important national and international festivals (Rome, Turin, Milan, Cremona, Cividale del Friuli, Utrecht, Amsterdam, Brüssel, Gent, Ambronay, La Chaise Dieu, Oslo, Valencia, Malta, Berlin, Eisenstadt, Verbier, Zermatt).
