Coro da Camera Ricercare Ensemble (Chamber Choir)

Born: 1984 - Revere (Mantova), Italy

Established in Revere (Mantova) in 1984, Coro da Camera Ricercare Ensemble is one of the most important musical realities of the Italian choral sector. Since 1992 the choir has been directed by Maestro Romano Adami.

The choir has participated in festivals and important musical seasons with concerts in Italy: Unione Musicale Torino, Accademia Chigiana di Siena, MozartFest (Milano), Tempo d'orchestra (Mantova), Lucca in Musica, Alle radici del ‘900 (Milano, Pisa, Bari etc.) and abroad: France (Paris, Auxerre, Nevers, St.Florentin), Denmark (Copenhagen), Sweden (Stockholm and Uppsala), Czech Republic (Prague and Nymburg) and Germany (Mannheim, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg).

The choir has significant works in its repertoire, including:
C. Orff: Carmina Burana;
Johannes Brahms: Ein Deutsches requiem, Liebesliederwalzer und Neueliebeslieder;
W.A. Mozart: All the sacred works (sung masses, oratorios, offertories);
Antonio Vivaldi: Gloria and Magnificat;
C. Monteverdi: Mottets and masses;
H. Purcell: Motets and Funeral Sequences;
Giovanni Battista Pergolesi: Stabat Mater;
J.S. Bach: Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248, Magnificat in D major BWV 243, Lutheran Masses BWV 233-236, Mass in B minor BWV 232 and various Cantatas;
Dietrich Buxtehude: Membra Jesu Nostri;
George Frideric Handel: the Oratorio Messiah, the oratorio Israele in Egitto and the psalm Dixit Dominus, Coronation Anthems, Ode di S.Caecilia in W.A. Mozart's transcription;
M.A. Charpentier: Te Deum and the Messe de Minuit;
Antonio Caldara: Stabat Mater and Missa Dolorosa;
Franz Biber: Missa Salisburgensis for 54 voices;
F.J. Haydn: Te Deum, Nelson Messe, Stabat Mater, The Creation;
L.v. Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, Choral Fantasy Op. 80 and the Cantata Meerestille Op 112";
Robert Schumann: The pilgrimage of the rose;

Arvo Pärt: Magnificat, Cantate Domino, Berliner Messe;

The choir created, for the first time, the mystical oratorio Amor Langueo by Gabrio Taglietti, recorded on CD and broadcast by Vatican Radio and the oratorio La Passione di Paolo VI by Sandro Perotti.

The choir has collaborated and collaborates with important conductors: Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Corrado Rovaris, Filippo Maria Bressan, Marc Andreae, Enrico Onofri, Stefano Montanari, Riccardo Frizza, Giovanni Antonini, Federico Maria Sardelli, and with various orchestras: including the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, I Filarmonici di Verona, Orchestra barocca Accademia degli Invaghiti, Orchestra da camera di Brescia and Orchestra Modo Antiquo with which in 2016 under the direction of Federico Maria Sardelli the choir participated in the 50th Festival Barga and recently in June 2019 performed the Intermedi della Pellegrina at Palazzo Pitti in Florence for the 82nd Festival of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

The choir has been promoting and realizing for some years at the Bibiena Theater, at Palazzo Te, in the Basilica di S.Barbara, in the Chiesa del Gradaro di Mantova and in the Palazzo Ducale di Revere the concert project: LE MERAVIGLIE CANTATE Opere, Odi, Messe , Oratori, Cantate & Passioni.

Since 1992, Romano Adami has been Musical Director of the Coro da Camera Ricercare Ensemble with which he has created and performed important repertoires.
