The Italian soprano, Patrizia Vaccari, studied piano, organ, organ composition and singing at the Marcello Conservatory in Venice and at the Conservatory of Rovigo, and took part in courses at the Centre de Musique Ancienne in Geneva, continuing her organ and vocal studies, particularly with regard to the Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, with teachers of great distinction.
Patrizia Vaccari’s double career has brought collaboration as a singer with leading early music ensembles, including the Cappella Musicale di San Petronio and I Suonatori della Gioiosa Marca, while serving as organist at the church of Santa Maria in Colle at Montebellona. She has performed in prestigious music festivals and performances of operas and oratorios, in Italy and abroad, working with major vocal and instrumental ensembles, such as Cappella Artemisia (Director: C. Smith), Athestis Chorus (Director: Filippo Maria Bressan), Harmonices Mundi (Director: C. Astronio), La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Ensemble Cantar lontano (Director: Marco Mencoboni), Venice Baroque Orchestra (Director: Andrea Marcon), Ensemble Vocale Veneto (Director: C. Miatello), La Venexiana (Director: Claudio Cavina), Ensemble Abendmusik (Director: J. Finney). More recently she approached the classical and romantic chamber music repertoire as well as the contemporary chamber music with the Ensemble Musagète and in collaboration with the pianist Carlo Mazzoli.
Patrizia Vaccari has recorded for labels Tactus, Rivo Alto, Naxos and Chandos Simphonia. For the Stradivarius has recorded Cantate Op. 4 for soprano and basso continuo by Tomaso Albinoni, and the oratorio S. Giovanni Battista by Alessandro Stradella with the ensemble Harmonices Mundi. |
