The German soprano, Ulrike Barth, studied musicology and music pedagogy in
Berlin, before concentrating on singing.
Ulrike Barth is regularly invited by ensembles as the RIAS-Kammerchor (Directors:
Hans-Christoph Rademann/Justin Doyle),
Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe),
Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Directors:
Jos van Veldhoven/Shunske Sato),
Vocalconsort Berlin (Director:
Marcus Creed), or or Athesinus Consort Berlin (Director: Klaus-Martin Bresgott). She also takes part, since her move to Paris in 2013, in projects offered to her by
Chœur de Chambre Accentus (Director: Laurence Equilbey),
Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), Les Cris de Paris (Director: Geoffroy Jourdain),
Vox Luminis (Director: Lionel Meunier),
La Chapelle Harmonique (Director:
Valentin Tournet) and Egregor Vocal (French a-cappella ensemble). Many stage productions also mark his artistic career, including Dido & Aeneas and Matsukaze de Sasha Waltz. Her frequent collaborations with conductors such as
Philippe Herreweghe, René Jacobs,
Marcus Creed, Hans-Christoph Rademann,
Iván Fischer and Raphaël Pichon, among others, have taken her on tour around the world. She has very recently joined the Ateliers Misuk . Poitiers, involved in the « Ce À Quoi Nous Tenons » a cappella vocal quartet project.
Ulrike Barth performs regularly as a soloist with ensembles exploring a repertoire ranging from the 16th century to the contemporary period. She sometimes appears in recitals. |
