The German soprano, Clara-Sophie Rohleder (neé: Jager), began her comprehensive musical education began early on at the
Kreismusikschule Nordhausen in the subject piano. As a student at the Landesgymnasium für Musik Wernigerode (2009-2012), she then received lessons in singing, piano, speech training and choral conducting and was a member of the
Rundfunkjugendchor Wernigerode. As part of numerous concerts, she was able to gain solo experience at an early stage. After graduating from high school, she began studying music and German to become a teacher at the
Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (since 2012). In 2014 she also began studying singing and singing pedagogy with Professor Monika Meier-Schmid. She completed both courses in the summer of 2018.
Clara-Sophie Rohleder now takes lessons from Jörg Hempel and, in addition to her freelance work as a singer, works as a voice coach for the
MDR Kinderchor in Leipzig (since August 2019), the
Oper Halle (Saale) (since April 2019) and the Kindersingakademie Halle (Saale) (since October 2018). She has been performing in concert and oratorio since the beginning of her singing studies (since July 2016). She has sung under conductors such as Fabian Enders,
Ludwig Güttler, Peter Habermann,
Jos van Immerseel, Barry Jordan, Tobias Löbner,
Hans-Christoph Rademann, Robert Trevino and Omer Meir Wellber. She is also a member of the
Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann;
since August 2019) and AuditivVokal Dresden (since April 2021).ent
In the 2020 calendar year Clara-Sophie Rohleder will be heard as a soloist with J. Haydn's
Stabat Mater, Michael Haydn's
Requiem and J.S. Bach's
Johannes-Passion (BWV 245). She will also be heard in a broadcast of a radio service from
Magdeburger Dom. During the Advent season she appears in Georg Philipp Telemann's
In dulci jubilo and in J.S. Bach's
Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248). In 2017, she married
Felix Rohleder and she currently lives in
Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt. |
