The German bass-baritone, Felix Rohleder, began his education began at the local music school “Bernhard Stavenhagen” in Greiz in the subjects violin, piano and singing (2003-2011). After graduating from high school, he completed a teaching degree in music and social studies at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (2012-2018). He studied at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden in the class of Jörg Hempel (2016-2020). During his studies he was taught Lieder by Olaf Bär and oratorio by Britta Schwarz. Various master-classes with Georg Zeppenfeld, Roland Schubert, Regina Werner-Dietrich, Thomas Quasthoff, Jukka Rasilainen, Cornelia Helfricht and Bo Skovhus complement his training. In the summer of 2019, he took part in the Internationalen Sächsischen Sängerakademie and was able to win the lecturers’ promotional prize. He is a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verband Dresden (2021).
Felix Rohleder made his debut in the summer of 2018 in various roles on the opera stage while he was still studying singing, including Masetto in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Figaro in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro and Diktator in Ernst Krenek's Der Diktator. Furthermore, as a soloist in the Dresden concert series "Kantaten im Palais" under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann, he was able to gain significant experience in the field of Baroque performance practice. Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 season, he was a member of the Opernstudio der Theater Chemnitz. In his first year of engagement he was heard there as Ceprano in Verdi's Rigoletto, in several operetta gala concerts as well as in the new production Isolation Club (working title). Hae also was there, among other things, Martin Preller in Ein Ehemann vor der Tür and Lieutenant Märzenbecher in the world premiere of Spuk unterm Riesenrad by Oliver Ostermann and Thomas Winter. Since August 2022, he has been part of the Theater Chemnitz ensemble. In addition to his work as an opera singer, he is an accomplished concert and Lieder singer and can be seen regularly in concerts and has thus been able to draw attention to himself in many places.
