Since the 2008-2009 season, Anna Nesyba has been a frequent guest at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, having been featured in productions of Tannhäuser, Rosenkavalier, W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Parsifal. In summer 2011 she had her debut as Fiordiligi in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte - under the musical direction of Bruno Weil - as a winner of the Junge Oper Weikersheim competition, a well-respected open-air opera festival. 2012 she was invited to perform Valencienne in Lehar's Merry Widow at Zomeropera Alden Biesen Festival (Belgium). Beside the opera stage Anna Nesyba enjoys singing plenty of concerts, especially Early Music, recently in concert halls like Berlin Philharmonic, Alte Oper Frankfurt and Gewandhaus Leipzig. Her enthusiasm for historically-informed performances of early music was inspired by such authoritative figures as Pauline Nobes, Frieder Bernius and Jörg Straube and she has appeared with such notable ensembles as Musica Alta Ripa, Barockorchester L'arpa festante and Akamus Ensemble. Her extensive concert repertoire also includes the music of the present. She had the pleasure to work with composers as Hiller, Hosokawa and Penderecki and to sing first performances of their works.
Since 2014, Anna Nesyba is teaching at Institut für Musik, Kassel University. She currently lives in Kassel, Germany. |
