The German conductor, Jörg Straube, discovered his passion for the occupation of conductor, already during his studies of the training and church music its passion. He settled in the establishment of different Emsembles, among them showed up in 1981 the Norddeutscher Figuralchor.
1983 led Jörg Straube to the artist scholarship of Lower Saxony, in 1986 he followed Manfred Brandstetter as a director/conductor of the Bachchor Hannover. Professorship at the Academy of Music Würzburg and at the Escolas dos Artes in Porto as well as the work as a guest conductor at the choirs Norddeutschen Rundfunks Hamburg, RIAS Berlin, Südwestdeutschen Rundfunks and Rundfunkchor Berlin witness to the high artistic reputation of Jörg Straube.
Jörg Straube won numerous prizes with his ensembles at national and international choir competitions: German choir competition 1990: 1st Prize (Norddeutscher Figuralchor), Chamber choir competition in Takarazuka/Japan 1992: 1st Prize (Norddeutscher Figuralchor), Brahms competition Hamburg 1997: 1st Prize (Norddeutscher Figuralchor), German choir competition 1998: 3rd Prize (Bachchor Hannover), 31st Choir competition in Tolosa/Spanien 1999: 1st and 2nd Prizes (Norddeutscher Figuralchor).
Jörg Straube’s choir music bringing with the Norddeutscher Figuralchor were distinguished several times with record prizes (all CD’s appeared on Thorofon): Prize of the German record critics 1988 (Peter Cornelius: Choir Works), Prize of the German record critics 1996 (Franc Martin: Ariel Choir and Mass), Echo Klassik 1998 (Max Reger: Sacred choir music), Echo Klassik 1999 (Johannes Brahms: The entire of sacred works for choir and organ). |
