The chamber choir Studiochor Karlshorst is characterized by intensive rehearsals on particularly interesting and polyphonic choral works of church music. The choir singers also prepare themselves individually for the rehearsals in order to give the musical work on the work even more space during the rehearsals. The choir demonstrates this impressively in its participation in the Bach project and the choir project of the Landessingwartin as well as in the organization of choral vespers and in concerts.
In 2019, the Studiochor Karlshorst took part in the Nacht der Chöre (Night of Choirs) on August 31 at the Erlöserkirche with works by Heinrich Schütz, Ola Gjeilo, Josef Rheinberger and others. On September 1, 2019, Studiochor performed the Chorvesper at the Kaiser- Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche. Music enthusiasts experienced the Studiochor in an unusual place on the first weekend of Advent 2019.
Together with claire-obscure, a saxophone quartet with the Berliner Philharmoniker, and many guests, excerpts from the J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) were heard at a sing-along concert at the Ballhaus Berlin. |
