The French tenor, Constantin Goubet, discovered music and vocal art at a very early age in the Petits Chanteurs de Chaillot then the Maîtrise Saint Louis de Gonzague de Paris. These first experiences then pushed him to train the lyric singing at the Conservatoire du 6ème Arrondissement de Paris. He also completed a university degree at Université Paris-Dauphine, where he obtained in 2007 a Master of Business Finance and Financial Engineering (2002-2007). He has since devoted several years to the practice of this discipline and has been entrusted with positions of responsibility in several companies. Then, in 2012, he decided to change his life and devote himself exclusively to musical practice and operatic singing. He enrolled at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt, in the class of Anne Constantin, and obtained two years later his singing award with very good marks. He also received valuable advice from Hanna Schaer and Frédéric Bourreau. He is a laureate of the Fondation Royaumont in 2016, and participated in the master-class of Christophe Rousset on the interpretation of the French Baroque opera.
As a light lyric tenor, Constantin Goubet is regularly asked to interpret the great Baroque and classical oratorios: he has thus been an Evangelist in St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244), St. John Passion (BWV 245) and Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) by J.S. Bach, notably at Notre-Dame de Paris in March 2016; but also in J. Haydn's The Creation and Stabat Mater, W.A. Mozart's Requiem or George Frideric Handel's The Messiah.
In 2014, Constantin Goubet was Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini (staged by Alain Garichot); then embodies the Chevalier de la Force in March 2015 in Francis Poulenc's Les Dialogues des Carmélites, staged by Vincent Vittoz. Among his other stage appearances, he has sung the roles of Gardefeu in La Vie Parisienne, Fritz in La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein, Piquillo in La Périchole (Offenbach), Gontran in the Les Mousquetaires au couvent (Varney), Tamino in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, and Aeneas in H. Purcell's Dido & Aeneas. At the Opéra de Metz in March 2017, he sang the role of Osman in Grétry's Raoul Barbe Bleue with Les Monts du Reuil in a production created in 2016 at Saint-Dizier and then at the Opéra de Reims.
Constantin Goubet regularly performs in Ensemble Correspondance (Director: Sébastien Daucé) and Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon) with whom he tackles a vast repertoire, ranging from early music to romantic music. He was recently accepted as a full singer in the Chœur de l’Armée Française. Loving to approach the music from different angles, he took in 2014 the musical direction of the Ensemble Vocal Loyola, with whom he tackles a varied repertoire.
Constantin Goubet has worked as Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst at Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance (September 2007-March 2008); Consultant at Kertios Consulting (March 2008-August 2009); Director at Factea Shared Services (since September 2009); Financial and Administrative Manager at FACTEA GROUP (since January 2010); Manager at Naoctis (since January 2013). |
