The German soprano, Therese Glaubitz, was born in Freiburg and grew up in Belgium. She studied voice at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and continued her training with Heidrun Kordes at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, receiving her diploma in 2005. She attended master-classes given by Vera Rosza (Guildhall School of Music in London), Ralf Döring (Vienna), Susanna Rigacci (Florence), Christoph Prégardien (Cologne), Axel Everaert (Brussels) and at the opera studio La Monnaie/Brussels.
Therese Glaubitz started her operatic career with engagements at the Gießen Theatre (L'incoronazione di Poppea), the State Theatre Wiesbaden (world premiere of Saskia Bladt's Erzählung) and the Teatro Poliziano in Montepulciano/Italy (Blow's Venus and Adonis and Purcell's Dido and Aeneas). At the Jacques Offenbach Festival in Bad Ems she was heard as Pauline in performances of Pariser Leben with the SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Florian Ludwig. In August 2007 she was invited to sing at the Bachwoche Ansbach, in February 2008 she appeared as Despina (Così fan tutte) with the Opera Nymphenburg in Munich. Other recent engagements include concerts with the Rheingau Music Festival and the Beethoven Festival in Bonn. |
