The German lyric soprano, Heidrun Kordes, won the first prize in the Federal Singing Competition VDMK in Berlin when she was only 16 years old. She studied at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Prof. Beata Heuer Darüber, and continued her singing studies with Eva Ambrosius in Darmstadt.
Until 2000 Heidrun Kordes was a member of the ensemble of Hessischen Staatstheaters Wiesbaden has and worked since then as a free artist. The emphasis of her artistic activity in the opera field is within the range of Mozart and George Frideric Handel. She has also sung with great success important roles of the 20th century.
Heidrun Kordes is also active internationally as a concert singer. Her special interest applies here for the great Masses and oratorios of J.S. Bach, through Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn up to Arthur Honegger. In addition she dedicates herself intensively to the Lieder singing.
Apart from broadcast and television productions, Heidrun Kordes has participated in numerous CD's. Heidrun Kordes holds a training position at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt/Main. |
