The French bass, Jean-Michel Durang, began his studies at the Conservatoire National de Région (CNR) de Nancy, where he obtained a certificate of completion of studies in trumpet and chamber music. He continued his training at the CNR de Metz in double-bass and obtained a gold medal and a DEM (Musical Studies Diploma) in music education. Meanwhile, he attended a university course finalized by obtaining a musical education and choral singing. Passionate about voice, he studied singing mainly with Howard Crook, Marie-Claire Cottin and Roselyne Allouche and perfected in choral conducting in the class of Claire Marchand.
Jean-Michel Durang has participated recently, among others, in the performance of acrae Cantiones by Estocart with Ensemble Ludus Modalis under the direction of Bruno Boterf, and the opera Medeamaterial by Pascal Dusapin with Cris de Paris under the direction of Geoffroy Jourdain. |
