The German director and harpsichordist, Michael Behringer, studied Church Music in Freiburg; later he studied harpsichord playing and organ in Vienna and Amsterdam.
As a harpsichordist and continuo-player, Michael Behringer has travelled the world extensively, among others with Jordi Savall, Reinhard Goebel, Han Tol, Musica Antiqua Köln, Hespèrion XX, Freiburger Barockorchester and Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble.
Michael Behringer recorded J.S. Bach's sonatas for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord together with Hille Perl in 1999 for Hänssler.
Michael Behringer holds a teaching assignment at the Freiburg Musikhochschule. |
