Heinrich Wilhelm Ludewig born to Wilhelm Ludewig (tailor in Leipzig). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on September 19, 1724; studied there from 1724 to 1732, since June 5, 1723 already as external; and at Universität Leipzig in 1732. J.S. Bach reported (August 23, 1730): “not yet ready to be used in the 1st choir (figural music)”. He was one of J.S. Bach's copyists from 1730 to 1735, appearing in the manuscripts as Anon. 20 (Dadelsen); Anon. L 77; Anon. BNB I (Beißwenger). |
