The Dutch tenor, Hans Vriezen, studied singing with the Soprano Antoinette Tiemessen and the Argentinian Tenor Omar Jara, and with the Australian Tenor David Bishop.
Between 1989 and 1992 he was a member of the Bach Chorus of The Netherlands in Naarden under the baton of Charles de Wolff. Between 1992 and 1996 he divided his time between the civic opera companies Of Regensburg and Bielefeld in Germany. From August 1996 until the end of December 2012 he was a member of the Chorus of the Nationale Reisopera in Enschede, where he has had solo engagements in Un ballo in Maschera, La Bohème, Peter Grimes, Parsifal, La Traviata, J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and in George Frideric Handel’s Messiah.
Hans Vriezen also sings as a soloist in oratorios, and works regulary with the Gelders Bach Collegium conducted by Wolfgang Lange and Stichting Luka conducted by Susanne Paulsen in a couple of J.S. Bach's Cantatas. He worked also in the Chorus of ECOK and as a Soloist with the German Euregio Konzert Gesellschaft both conducted by Eric Kotterink. In February 2014, he received the certificate of the *Complete Vocal Technique basic course, and in June he received the certificate of the *Estill Voice Training Level 1&2. He currently lives in Terburg.

In 1992 he took part in Gluck’s Iphigenie en Tauride with Opera Zuid from Maastricht.
In 1992 he shared the bill in a Christmas concert with Ivan Rebroff, Antoinette Tiemessen and The Ulft Male Voice Choir in De Maaspoort in Den Bosch, with Viola Holt as presenter.
In 1998, he took part in Companions Opera’s production of Verdi’s Aida at the Gelredome stadion in Arnhem.
In June 1998 he appeared with the Chorus and Orchestra of Brabant in a concert version of Camille Saint-Saëns' opera Samson et Dalila, conducted by Marc Soustrot.
In June/July 2008 he appeared with the Chorus Consensus Vocalis (Director: Klaas Stok) and Orkest van het Oosten to a CD Recording of Symphony No. 5 by Julius Röntgen conducted by David Porcelijn.
In March 2009 he sang the Tenor Part in the Passion Cantata Olivet to Calvary by J.H. Maunder with the baritone Matthijs Mesdag the organist Ton Kos and the Choir “Crescendo” in Hoek van Holland conducted by Wim de Korver. |
