The Dutch conduictor, Roel Vogel, studied from 1998 to 2001 music education at the Conservatorium in Utrecht. He continued his studies with the training of choral conducting at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag with the main subject teachers Jos van Veldhoven and Jos Vermunt. He graduated in June 2004 with a self-developed musical theater production. He took courses (i.e. three times the Kurt Thomas Course) with Rob Vermeulen, Hans Leenders, Ger Vos, Daan Admiraal, José Esandi, Micha Hamel and Gilles Michels, among others. He attended a master-class of Tonu Kaljuste, during which he conducted the Nederlands Kamerkoor.
As repetitor (coach) Roel Vogel has worked with include the Utrechts Studenten Koor en Orkest, Kathedrale Koor Utrecht, Groot Concertkoor Amsterdam and Utrechtse Bachcantatediensten. He is permanent conductor of NOVA - Arnhems Symphonie Orkest, Klein OperaKoor Wilhelminapark (Utrecht), and he conducts various project choirs and orchestras. As a conductor and teacher, he works at the Karel de Grote College in Nijmegen. |
