The Swiss soprano, Florence Renaut, studied at the University of Neuchâtel, where she obtained a Bachelor in History and Art History in 2008, Alongside this, she studied opera singing at the Conservatoire of Neuchâtel with Sylvain Muster and later in Lausanne with Dorothea Christ. In 2010, she began a professional training in opera singing in the class of Ioana Bentoiu at the Institut de Ribaupierre in Lausanne, where she obtained her professional diploma of teaching singing in 2014. Her affinity for early music led her to continue her vocal and musical training with Fabian Schofrin in Nyon and now with Rosa Domínguez in Basel.
In the scene, Florence Renaut trained in opera workshop directed by Ioana Bentoiu in Lausanne, attended acting classes of Lucienne Olgiati in Lausanne and participated in opera master-classes of Pablo Maritano in Basel. She has worked under the direction of theater directors Sophie Pasquet Racine, Catherine Pauchard, Stefania Pinnelli and Isabelle Renaut.
Florence Renaut sings for the Ensemble Orlando in Fribourg directed by Laurent Gendre, the Ensemble Vocal Euterpe, Choeur Vivace de Lausanne and Ensemble Choral de la Côte (Nyon) under the direction of Christophe Gesseney. In recital, she performed with her son Ensemble Florace Together in duo with pianist Ofir David Kahlfi and with the company L'Opéra par-ci par under the direction of Antoine Schneider.
In 2011, Florence Renaut founded with Isabelle Renaut Compagnie Cantamisù, which they co-direct together. Since then, they have presented four projects in Switzerland: a premiere creation, Pepito, a comic opera by Jacques Offenbach on tour in western Switzerland; a world premiere, Rats, an opera-tale presented at the Festival Les Jeux du Castrum in Yverdon-les-Bains, based on a novel by Jules Verne, Thierry Romanens and Robert Clerc wrote the libretto and music respectively; two musical wanderings, Accordez-moi une chanson…! at thethe Musée d’art et d’histoire in Fribourg and recently, , Les voix d’une exposition at the Musée d’Yverdon et Région. |
