For 24 years, the Ensemble Vocal Euterpe (= EVE) has given many concerts in French-speaking Switzerland, in France, in Belgium and Germany.
Six CD's were recorded, including three in public, with the assistance of important musicians, such as Chantal Mathieu, Christine Sartoretti, Yves Rechsteiner or Jorge Pepi Alos. CD of 1999 was devoted to the Swiss composer Domenica Gesseney-Rappo. In 2002 the 6th CD was devoted to J.S. Bach with 3 cantatas.
The EVE also took part as a finalist in several international competitions, such as the Rencontres Chorales de Montreux, the Florilèges de Tours (France), the competition of Maasmechelen (Belgium) or that of Cantonigros (Spain); on the national level, the EVE took part in the national competition of choruses of Charmey.
After 24 years rich in musical events, concerts, appearances in Switzerland and abroad, the EVE "Muse of the music and lyric poetry", formed of 13 singers in its foundation and 25 to 30 thereafter, put at its program Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) by J S. Bach for March 2005.
The EVE projects to carry out concerts of varied natures: a-cappella, with organ or piano, three or four instrumentalists, or without soloists, and with orchestra. |
