The Italian soprano, Silvia Piccollo, graduated in singing and violin at the Conservatorio di Musica Niccolò Paganini di Genova (1982-1988); she continued her studies on Baroque performance practice at the same institute (Class of 1989).
From 1990, Silvia Piccollo collaborates with the major early music ensembles in Europe and with conductors such as René Clemencic, Alan Curtis, Andrew Parrott, Gérard Lesne, Ton Koopman, Fabio Biondi, Diego Fasolis and others. She has participated in hundreds of radio and television productions as a solo soprano and as a member of the Coro della Radio Svizzera, of which she has been a member since 1991.
Since 1998, Silvia Piccollo has taught scenic art at the conservatories of Como, Perugia, Ferrara, Trento, Riva del Garda, Darfo, and singing at the Conservatorio di Brescia. She has also held theatrical interpretation courses for five years for the musical academies "Japan Opera Foundation" and "Fondazione Showa" at Schiavon Vicentino's Italian headquarters. She is currently a singing teacher at the Scuola del Teatro stabile di Genova.
Silvia Piccollo has to his credit also numerous performances as an operatic interpreter, as well as different experiences as director and actress.
Silvia Piccollo has recorded CD's for the labels Bongiovanni, Nuova Era, Stradivarius, Symphonia, DDT, Victoire, Amadeus, Opus111, Naxos, Discantica, Arts, Virgin Veritas, Egea, Map. She currently lives in Camogli, Italy. |
