The German tenor, Philipp Nicklaus, studied singing with Bernhard Gärtner at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. In addition, he studied music education with main subjext organ and secondary subject conducting.
Philipp Nicklaus' repertoire includes especially the Evangelist parts of J.S. Bach's Passions and oratorios, but also Classical and Romantic works from Haydn's Creation to Dvorak's Stabat Mater. In addition to his concert activity at home and abroad - engagements have been to London, Tel Aviv, Venice, Padua, Strasbourg, Mulhouse and in Southern Germany - he is now also in demand as an opera singer. After several independent productions in the Stuttgart area followed guest engagements at the Jungen Oper Mannheim, Jungen Oper Stuttgart, Theater Augsburg and Theater Freiburg.
In June 2016, Philipo Nicklaus particpasted in a production of Alice in Wonderland at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, in the role of the White Rabbit. In Vogelhändler at the Stauferfestspielen Göppingen 2016 he perfrms the roles Graf Stanislaus and Professor Süffle. |
