The Polish soprano, Julita Mirosławska [Miroslawska], began her musical education at the age of 6, with piano lessons. In 1999 she finished the State Secondary School of Music in Bialystok with distinction in two specialities: rhythm and solo singing. She continued her vocal training under Professor Halina Slonicka at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 2004 she graduated in the class of Professor Jadwiga Rappé. She has taken part in many vocal seminars and master classes led, among others, by James Oxley, Olga Pasiecznik, Constanze Backes, Jagna Sokorska-Kwika, Professor Jerzy Artysz, Professor Teresa Zylis-Gara and Professor Elizabeth Glauser. She took part in many festivals, among others in “Crucifixus est” Festival, W. Lutoslawski Festival, “Old Polish Music in Monuments of Warsaw” Festival.
Julita Mirosławska has taken part in numerous concerts and competitions, appearing at such venues as the National Philharmonic, Concert Studio of Polish National Radio, the Royal Castle in Warsawand the Polish Embassy in Paris. She has given concerts with the Polish Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, the Bialystok and Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestras and Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense, under the direction of K. Bumann, M. J. Blaszczyk, M. Nalecz-Niesiolowski, W. Klosiewicz and R. Silva. In 2003 she performed in a concert rendition of the opera Daphnis et Chloe by Jean-Baptiste de Boismortier, under the baton of Simon Standage, which was transmitted by the European Broadcasting Union.
In 2002 Julita Mirosławska entered the 21st ‘Belvedere’ International Vocal Competition in Vienna, where, as a semi-finalist, she received a special award. She pursues her interest in early music through collaboration with the ensemble “La Tempesta”, directed by Jakub Burzynski, with which, in 2002, she recorded a disc of Baroque music. Her encompasses works of both early and contemporary music. She has performed as a soloist in such works as Dixit Dominus, Magnificat and Beatus vir by Antonio Vivaldi, Missa Brevis by W.A. Mozart, and A Ceremony of Carols, Op. 28, by Benjamin Britten, The Seasons by J. Haydn, Carmina Burana by C. Orff, Coffee (BWV 211) and Peasant Cantatas (BWV 212) by J.S. Bach.
Since September 2003 Julita Mirosławska has been a soloist with the Warsaw Chamber Opera, where she made her debut in the leading roles of Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, and Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte and Silvia in Ascanio in Alba by W.A. Mozart. In the same year she sung the role of Jano in Jenufa by L. Janacek and took a Japan tournée with Queen of the Night and Cherubino performed in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. In 2005 she took part in the Polish premiere of Songs on an infant Species by Ch. Camilleri, in the presence of the composer. She also performed the part of Bubikopf in Der Keiser von Atlantis by V. Ullman conducted by K. Bumman and made her debut as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail by W.A. Mozart. During 15th Mozart Festival in Warsaw she came out as Celidora in L’oca del Cairo and Bettina in Lo sposo deluso. In 2006-2007 season she performed the role of Polihymnia and Elise in Polish premiere of Jephte by M. Monteclair and went on a tour to Spain and Japan as Blonde and Cherubino.
The repertoire of Julita Miroslawska covers also songs by C. Debussy, Frédéric Chopin, S. Moniuszko and K. Szymanowski, furthermore arias from operas and oratorios by such composers as J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, George Frideric Handel, J. Haydn, J. Strauss, G. Donizetti, Charles Gounod.
