The German baritone, Richard Logiewa, began his musical career in the Dresdner Kreuzchor. After winning a first prize with the highest score in the national competition "Jugend Musiziert" as well as special prizes of the Stiftung Musikleben and the Walter-Kaminsky-Stiftung, he studied singing at the Peter Cornelius-Konservatorium of the City of Mainz (with Joachim Keuper) and the Hochschule für Musik Mainz (with Hans Christoph Begemann). Since 2012, he is a student of Kammersänger Eike Wilm Schulte. He receives further musical impulses from Johannes Martin Kränzle and Thomas Laske. He is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Verbandes.
As a concert singer, Richard Logiewa performs with orchestras such as La Stagione Frankfurt, Barockorchester L'arpa festante München, Staatsorchester Mainz, Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble, La Banda Augsburg, Il Gusto Barocco (Director: Jörg Halubek), Das Neue Orchester Köln, Darmstädter Hofkapelle, Bachorchester Mainz and Bachorchester Wiesbaden, as well as appears at festivals such as the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspielen and den Osterfestivals in Bayreuth and Innsbruck. He also works with conductors such as Michael Hofstetter, Hermann Bäumer, Marcus Bosch, Ralf Otto, Clemens Heil, Christoph Spering, Frieder Bernius, as well as directors such as Tatjana Gürbaca, Tilman Knabe, Peer Boysen and Christof Nel, among others.
At the Staatstheater Mainz Richard Logiewa was engaged between 2011 and 2014 and could be heard in numerous roles in his field. In addition, he sang in productions at the Theater Münster, Theater Aachen, Oper Frankfurt and Landestheater Thüringen Rudolstadt.
In addition to his active solo career, Richard Logiewa has been a permanent member of the ensemble of the WDR Rundfunkchor Köln (Director: Stefan Parkman) since 2014. He is also a member of Chorus Musicus Köln (Director: Christoph Spering). He currently lives in Köln. |
