Karsten Krüger (Counter-tenor, Baritone)

Born: 1969 - Berlin, Germany

The German counter-tenor and baritone, Karsten Krüger, studied at the Paul Gerhard High School in Dassel, and after finishing studies there he enrolled in the church music program in Hannover under Professor Ulrich Bremsteller. In 1996 he finished his A-level diploma and in the same year became Kantor in Bad Harzburg. He has coached with Harald Vogel (Weener), Pierre Cogen (Paris), Anders Bondeann (Stockholm) and Wolfgang Seifen (Kevelaer). His other voice teachers were Carl-Heinz Müller, with Ralf Popken, and Peter Kooy.

Karsten Krüger's solo concert activity as an organist, baritone or counter-tenor has led him to domestic and foreign venues. He may be heard on numerous radio and CD programs under name conductors (among others the Norddeutscher Figuralchor with Jörg Straube).

Comment:
There is another German singer with similar name, the bass-baritone named Carsten Krüger.
