The German tenor, Achim Kleinlein, is best known to concert going audiences as a leading interpreter of the Evangelist in the Passions of J.S. Bach, works which he has sung in Israel and in many of the European musical centers on numerous occasions. His repertoire ranges from Monteverdi to the contemporary. On the operatic stage, the tenor roles of Mozart are ideally served by the elegance of his phrasing.
Achim Kleinlein has appeared with the NDR Symphony Orchestra, Münchner Philharmoniker, Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Prague Symphony and Israel Chamber Orchestra. He is also a regular guest at numerous international festivals, such as the Schleswig-Hoistein Music Festival, the Dresden Musikfestspielen, the Middle European Festival, the Wiener Klassik im Musikverein and the Festival Bach de Lausanne. He is aslso a member of Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart (Directors: Helmuth Rilling & Hans-Christoph Rademann).
