Johannes Kaleschke (Tenor) |
Born: 1977 - Speyer on the Rhine, Germany |
The German tenor, Johannes Kaleschke, studied Germanic and art history before deciding to study singing at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart with Professor Bernhard Jaeger-Böhm. He completed his studies in summer 2002 and now runs a postgraduate Master's degree. He also participated in master-classes for singing with Francisco Araiza, Berthold Schmid and James Wagner.
Johannes Kaleschke's repertoitre includes all the oratorios of J.S. Bach and Felix Mendelssohn, but also music from other periods, such as contemporary: he could recently been heard as the Evangelist in Sankt-Bach-Passion by Mauricio Kagel. He has gained first experiences on the stage: at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspielen, where he was heard in Carl Orff's Der Mond, or at the Kammertheater der Staatsoper Stuttgart, where he appeared in Bernhard Koenig's Expedition zur Erde. An active collaboration with the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart and concert tours in Germany and abroad round out his musical activities. |
