The German tenor, Christopher B. Fischer, initially studied for his Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Singing at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, where he received lessons in Lied from Markus Hadulla (2011-2015). In February 2018 he completed his Master of Music degree in Opera Singing with Professor Berthold Schmid at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig (2015-2018). He also received important impulses from Stephan Klemm and Bettina Denner. He was shaped by master-classes, among others with Daniel Gloger (new vocal music), Peter Berne (bel canto), with Professor Daniel Fueter (chanson) and Liv Solveig Wagner (jazz singing).
At the end of November 2015 Christopher B. Fischer made his debut as Paris in J. Offenbach's operetta Die Schöne Helena; and in April 2016 he was seen as The Lyric Tenor in T. Johnson's 1988 premiere of Riemannoper. With the SommerOrchester Leipzig he was heard as Don Ottavio in a semi-concert performance of W.A. Mozart Don Giovanni. In August 2019 he could be seen in the Naumburg Dom as 1st Elder George Frideric Handel's Susanna in a production of the Theater Naumburg and the Lautten Compagney Berlin (2019). With the latter he appeared in Haydn's opera Lo Speziale in October 2019 as Mengone in Fulda and Aschaffenburg.
Christopher B. Fischer is a tenor singing mostly classical repertoire as oratory, lied, opera and jazz. He also knows the special, clear and soft timbre of his voice skillfully in the field of oratorio, i.a. to be used as evangelist in J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) or Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248). With the Ensemble 1684 under the direction of Gewandhauschor director Gregor Meyer, of which is a member since 2016, he regularly gives concerts throughout Germany and other European countries. He also works as a freelancer in the MDR Rundfunkchor Leipzig (since 2017), Gaechinger Cantorey (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), Leipziger Cantorey (Director: Gotthold Schwarz), SING and SIGN (Director: Susanne Haupt); and regularly gives concerts and CD productions with them.
