The English baritone, Christopher Dixon, was a choral scholar at Clare College, Cambridge and then studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio, London. He participasted in the Royal Academy Opera course. In 1999 he won the Bliss Award at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2002 he was winner at the 1st Handel Singiong Competitio in London.
Christopher Dixon has sung George Frideric Handel's Messiah with Sir David Willcocks at the Royal Albert Hall and the title role in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni with Sir Colin Davis. He later sang the Count in Le nozze di Figaro and W.A. Mozart's Requiem at the Albert Hall with David Willcocks. In 2000 he participated as a member of the Monteverdi Choir in John Eliot Gardiner's Bach Cantata Pilgrimage.
Christopher Dixon worked with a small group of talented young singers in an 'open-class' format and discussed musical matters such as vocal projection, stage persona, posture and musicianship. |
