The German church musician and doctor of theology, Christoph Albrecht, studied organ with Heinz Wunderlich and Günther Ramin.
Christoph Albrecht was Cathedral choirmaster in Naumburg and lecture at the Kirchenmusikschule (church music school) in Halle from 1953 to 1960, director of the Kirchenmusikschule in Dresden from 1960 to 1976 and choirmaster and Organist at the Marienkirche in Berlin from 1976 to 1993. Since then he was active as a freelance concert organist and editor of organ and choral music. Over and above his varied activities as a performing artist, Christoph Albrecht's wide-ranging achievements included important scholarly studies on liturgical subjects and church music. |
