The black American soprano, Adele Addison, studied at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, and the Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood. She also took lessons with Povla Frijsh.
Adele Addison made her New York debut at Town Hall in 1952, then sang with the New England Opera and the New York City Opera. She made numerous appearances with major American orchestra. Her extensive repertoire included works extending from Baroque era to the 20th century. |
