The Associazione Corale Musica Reservata was founded in 2000 and is made up of people who have attended choral courses and who have acquired good technical ability and adequate autonomy in managing the part. The choir has already performed important works in concert including: Monteverdi: Selva Morale et Spirituale”, Madrigals from the VIII book; Vivaldi: Psalms and Masses for choir and orchestra; Haydn: Salve Regina for soprano, choir and orchestra; J.S. Bach: Cantatas BWV 10, BWV 11, BWV 29, BWV 66, BWV 70, Magnificat in D major BWV 243, the monumental Johannes-Passion BWV 245; George Frideric Handel: Messiah, Dixit, Nisi Dominus; W.A. Mozart: Requiem; John Rutter: Magnificat; Camille Saint-Saëns: Oratorio de Noel. In 2007, the choir performed the Oratorio di S. Antonio da Padova composed by Leopold I of Austria as its first performance in modern times. Musica Reservata has been a guest of important national festivals of early and Baroque music. The choir is directed by Fabio Cusinato and Lino Dalla Gassa. In May 2015, the choir qualified in 2nd place in the "Sacred Music" category at the national choral competition in Quartiano (Milano). In 2019, under the direction of Fabio Cusinato (suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Musica Reservata performed a concert called “Music for Life” which was broadcast on TV2000 on Christmas Eve 2019 immediately before the Holy Father's Mass. |
