The Argentinean bass, Lisandro Abadie, obtained his singing diplomas at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (with Evelyn Tubb) and Musikhochschule Luzern (with Peter Brechbühler). He was awarded the Edwin Fischer Gedenkpreis in 2006 and the Finalist Prize at the Handel Singing Competition in 2008.

Lisandro Abadie also performed staged versions of J.S. Bach’s Johannes-Passion (BWV 245, as Jesus), Antonio Caldara’s La Contesa de’Numi (at the Baroque Theatre of Český Krumlov), and new operas like Der schwarze Mozart by Andreas Pflüger, and Gramma by Sánchez Verdú. He has collaborated with ensembles like Les Arts Florissants and Mala Punica.
Lisandro Abadie regularly performs with the pianist Paul Suits, and appears on numerous recordings. Future engagements include George Frideric Handel’s Theodora at the London Handel Festival conducted by Laurence Cummings, concerts with Les Arts Florissants (directed by Paul Agnew) and Collegium 1704 (Václav Luks), Smetana’s Bartered Bride in Switzerland (Douglas Bostock), as well as the recording of Hayes’ The Passions with Anthony Rooley.
