The Dutch tenor, choral conductor, organist and music teacher, Arjen A.J. Uitbeijerse, majored in Choral Conducting at the conservatory, the Hogeschool IDE in Gorinchem in Gorinchem with Joop Schets. He also attended various master-classes in conducting. As a conductor, he is associated with the vocal ensemble Marcantus from Houten and oratorio association ROV Psallite Deo from Heinenoord.He is also involved in the artistic direction of the Stichting Ars Musica. He conducts the Jong Concertkoor (Young Concert Choir) of this foundation.
Arjen Uitbeijerse studied singing with Ingrid Smit Duyzentkunst and took singing lessons with various other teachers. As a chorister he is active in, among other things, the Ars Musica Kamerkoor (Director: Patrick van der Linden), which consists of professional singers. As a tenor soloist, he regularly participates in concerts.
Arjen Uitbeijerse studied organ with Jaap Nieuwenhuijse. He is organist at the Bethelkerk in Moordrecht and the Hervormde Kerk van Sluipwijk and accompanies a number of choirs on organ and piano.
Arjen Uitbeijerse obtained a diploma in Music in Education at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. He initially worked as a teacher in primary education and later as a music teacher and ckv in secondary education. Since 2017 he has worked as a Music Teacher at Driestar Hogeschool in Gouda. For Ars Musica he wrote the script of "Viva Vivaldi", an educational performance about the life of the Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi. He gives conducting and singing lessons and provides workshops and vocal coaching for choirs. |
